My top tip is to always enhance the natural shape of your face, not try to change it and use the shades according to your skin colour!

DeleteI like :)
ReplyDeleteHighlighting cheeks you use it in the best Way! ;)
ReplyDeletemy top tip for contouring is to do a lighter colour first the a slightly darker one on top:)
ReplyDeleteLess is always more! Otherwise you get those awful stripes!
ReplyDeleteUse the palest highlighter on each side of your face on your jawline and this creates a slimming effect for your face!
ReplyDeleteFollow your natural contour shape for a natural look but add a bit extra highlight to accentuate your features especially in such fabulous weather as this <3
ReplyDeleteLess is more, and light colours before dark colours, always! Enhance your own features, instead of trying to hide them away!
ReplyDeleteSome great tips coming guys! :D
ReplyDeleteI use the darker colours in the hollows of the cheeks, sides of the nose and under the jawline to slim down the face. The dark colours can also be used to camouflage some feature we don't like, like the double chin. It just disappears!
ReplyDeleteHighlight with the lighter colours on the top of the cheeks, nose bridge, brow bone and cupids bow to bring them forward and accent those features.
i always highlight the top of my cheek bones and top of brow bone makes u look really fresh and glowy love elf bronzer its my fave product ever :)
ReplyDeleteUse a shade darker than your foundation to contour, and a shade lighter to highlight. Use the same type as your foundation or base i.e. liquid on liquid, powder on powder, as it's easier to blend. Highlight your favourite parts, and shade the bits you don't like. Bump in the nose? Shade. Gorgeous cheek bones? Highlight and blush! Easy!!
ReplyDeleteI always use a slightly darker colour on the hollow of my cheekss and a light colour on the apples of my cheeks
ReplyDeleteI use the darker colors under the cheekbones to slim the face and at the sides of the nose to make less evident my crooked nose!
ReplyDeleteI usually highlight the top of the cheeks with lighter colour and blush! :)
i love elf bronzer its amazing for contouring and highlighting i use the darker for under my cheekbones and highlightler for the top of cheek bones and brow bone :)
ReplyDeleteTop tip for contouring: softly blend bronzer on to the face and define the jaw bone but focusing a darker shade with a little more presure just under the jaw line. Gets rid of those wobbly bits just under the chin :) To accentuate the cheekbones, take your lighter shade on to the apples of the cheeks blending back to the hair line and also take a darker shade to just under the cheek bone. Light shades will make that area stand out while the darker will shadow in - this makes those cheek bones pop! ELF Studio Cool Bronzer provides all the shades to make these looks work!
ReplyDeleteMy best contouring tips would be that it should not be used to change the shape of your face, but enhance your natural beauty, as for all other make-up. Remember to highlight the places you are happy about, and conceal the places you don't like as much. Great cheekbones: highlight with a shimmery or matte white eye shadow (looks really natural). Sweet apple cheeks: make them pop with some blush. Very round face (like myself, for example): contour the hollows of you cheeks with bronzer or even a couple of shades darker foundation before you powder to set. Also, use a bronzer with the same undertones as your natural skin color and use a matte one, this way it will look a lot more natural, even though you're kind of cheating. ;)
ReplyDeletei love elf cosmetics i have a hugeee collection! my top tip for contouring is to apply a light colour first and then sucking your cheeks in and applying a dark colour under your cheeck bones :)
ReplyDeleteMy top tip?
ReplyDeleteWhat ever you do, always BLEND! You don't want to end up with brown stripes on your face ;)
Contour using darker shade than your actual skin tone to the area that you'd like to give the sucked in effect. That would give a more subtle definition to your skin. Achieve a cute look by wiping the blush on the cheek apples. And no matter what, do always blend in to leave rough edges :)
ReplyDeletemy tip is to use a bronzer slightly darker than your skin tone and follow the natural shape of your face
ReplyDeleteyou've got to have a great brush, and than its really easy if you place the contour line in the right position - just make a 'fishy' face. brush should fit nicely in hollow below your cheeks and you simply guide it upwards. blending is also very important.
ReplyDeleteMy quick and easy tip is: is you are very pale and fair contour rather than highlight if you want a very natural sculpted look and then apply just a little bit of blusher on your cheekbones area but not too close to the nose, it's awesome! If you are very dark instead, just do the same but highlight rather than contour, it will give you a glowing light without being too fake! xxx
ReplyDeleteI follow my natural shape...I use a color a bit darker than my skin tone under the cheeks bone and I blend it very well.. after I apply my favourite blush color just in the apple of the cheeks
ReplyDeleteMy tip: Take your index finger put it at one corner of your mouth and draw and imaginary line to the top of your ear and feel under the cheek bone and that should be an idea of where to contour. Contouring from the temples, under the cheek bone and onto jawline will slim the face (like you are drawing a three).
ReplyDeleteI follow the lining of the cheek bone and use a brush too lightly put it on while blending it in slightly with my skin, I then use a highlighter above that too make the colour sook more illuminating towards the cheek bown :).. I always pout my lips also as it is a bad habbit i find this helps to find the cheek bone and apply it better :)
ReplyDeletemy favourite tric for contouring? is very simple: I try to make a "number three" on my face with the bronzer .In this way I carve temples, cheekbones, and jaws.
ReplyDeleteMy tip:
ReplyDeleteSwirl brush in it and just contour/bronze in a 3 shape from your forehead to cheek to chin and repeat on other side of face!!!! :)

My top tip is to go a bit darker than your natural skin color and make an E shape when contouring your face starting from your temples, cheeks and jawline!
ReplyDeletei guess my top tip would be not to choose a bronzer much darker than ur natural colour and remember to blend it very well!!
ReplyDeleteMy top tip is to start with a pale base, and then create flattering shades on top of that! It works like a canvas for a painting.
ReplyDeletemy top tip for contouring is use the perfect brush and less is more. :)
ReplyDeleteBlushOff
My top tip for perfect contouring would be to use a foundation which is a shade darker or two than your natural skin tone on the sides of your face, jawline and sides of forehead (an E shape) and blend in evenly (to avoid harsh lines) with a stippling brush like elf's together with the normal colour foundation on the rest of your face. To finish set with powder.
ReplyDeleteContouring is a great technique, but in my opinion one should use it to enhance and highlight the parts you like more, rather than really changing the shape of your face.
ReplyDeleteI usually like to add a peachy blush to my cheek apples. And the most important thing is always blend, blend, BLEND!!!

i like natural beauty!!! Black eye liner, lip gloss and little powder!!!
ReplyDeleteHighlight to show off your best features and contour to give the illusion of higher cheekbones or smaller nose :)
ReplyDeleteI tweeted :)
ReplyDeleteMy top tips would be to first of all figure out what shades are best for your skin tone. Find a nice bronzer that's not too dark and contour under your cheekbones, at your temples, forehead and under your chin. Find a blush that suits your skin tone and apply to the apples of your cheeks, and then use ELF gotta glow for highlighting above the cheekbone and on the "C" of your face. (from above your eye to under in a c shape close enough to your hairline so it catches the light)
I use a neutral color powder to accentuate my cheekbones and I blend it using a contour brush. I then use a highlighter on top of my cheekbones to make them stand out.
